Episode 03: What’s Up with the Trinity?

Augustine famously said (and I'm paraphrasing): If you deny the Trinity you will lose your soul. If you try and explain it you will lose your mind.

While I don’t think we can track down a source for this quote, it’s often attributed to Augustine. Either way, it encapsulates how many of us feel about the Trinity. It’s obviously important, it's who God is. But it's also complicated, how can three be one God? Well, that's just what we're going to explore today. Here Sara begins with "theology proper" -- the study of God and who he is. Though the word ‘trinity’ isn’t used in Scripture, the church has long affirmed that this is an appropriate and accurate way of describing God. We’re jumping into the deep end on this one, join us to think about what it means for God to be triune and how the BIble supports this interpretation!
